Ready for a 3D Smartphone?

LG announced the world's first 3D Smartphone at the 2011 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain today. The phone will have a dual-lens camera for 3D recording, a glasses-free LCD panel for 3D viewing and diverse connectivity options for 3D content sharing anytime, anywhere. I am not sure if 3D is necessary or even useful on such a small screen but the jury is still out on this.

Found a great deal on the iPod at the barbershop? You might want to read this.

Los Angeles Port Police last week seized over $10 Million worth of fake iPhones, iPods, and other stolen electronic goods. What does this mean to you? At the time of purchase this product looks and feels like the same thing, except when you connect it to iTunes. It won't work and sync to your iTunes account, leaving you wanting to find that street corner hustler who beat you out of $100.

Sprint Phones and some MetroPCS sound like....

....you remember when you were a kid and it was a hot summer day...this is before video games were wildly popular.....and you didn't have much to do? Sometimes you would sit on one side of the Fan and talk to hear the fan blades chop your words up.....well if you have a Sprint phone today that is exactly what it sounds like. The Sprint Network is experiencing technical difficulties right now....better make that switch to a provider that invests a little bit more $ in their network.

First Day of Black History Month...I Salute...

What could be more important than looking in to the hearts and minds of kids and helping them to realize what that they can overcome? Who they can become? Today I applaud the teachers, the social workers, the coaches, the mentors, all the people who help kids believe when many others doubt them. Look how many times that they gather kids who just are lacking the opportunity and the know how, and then look out….watch the magic happen. It doesn’t matter if it is in the sporting arena or the classroom or in the battlefield of chess, or just making a decent life when no one around you has. What would the world be without them? Scary to consider that thought. So the question then is how often do we provide them with the resources they need to continue what they have to do? Let’s stop focusing on the end game of prisons, probation, and rehabilitation and focus on inspiration, motivation, and dedication. So today I salute you, I encourage you, and applaud you. The ones who are shaping the future today and teaching kids that “Yes we can”.

Multi-tasking makes it way to the smart phone touch screen category.

In the smart phone battle of touch screen products, the latest salvo is from Palm and is a very interesting and eye opening model. The Palm Pre will be offered by Sprint and is a small lightweight phone at only 4.76 ounces, which in comparison to other phones is rather light. (Verizon-Blackberry Storm 5.46oz, AT&T- iPhone 4.8 oz, and T-Mobile G1 5.6 oz.). One of the exciting features on the Pre is the ability to do multiple tasks without having to exit the application. Users will be able to listen to music, check their calendar, and browse the web, or whatever combination of applications they like. In an iPhone like motion users are able to slide between open applications with a slide of the finger in a horizontal motion. Another unique feature in this Smartphone is the curved design of the phone to allow for a more natural conversation when holding the phone to your mouth. The Pre offers a touch screen as well a tactile keyboard that can be found by sliding the phone upward to reveal the keyboard. It also has a rotating screen that is useful for viewing videos and websites. Like any Smartphone of any substance the Pre operates on a 3G Network and will be available in the first quarter of 2009. Prices have yet to be released for this phone by expected to be in competitive in the $199-$250 range.

I like this phone because it is rather small and builds upon the advances made with other smartphones. I am surprised that Palm did not include a video camera option, but they realize that it isn’t a must due to the success of other phones without it as well.

Many people ask over and over what is the real reason behind the Republican Senators who refuse to support the bailout of the auto industry....well here is a little insight.
